IEX Cloud teamed up with Giant Machines, a product design and development agency in New York City, to bring you stock price widgets. They display current, updated stock prices on your website or application, and can be installed by simply copy-pasting a few lines of code.
On April 9, 2020, Giant Machines joined IEX Cloud live to share more about their development process – including how their team avoided messy API polling mechanisms, cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) errors, and more.

How do I install and use the stock price widget?
IEX Cloud widgets can be integrated into applications or websites that support HTML. Setup is simple.
- Turn on access to widgets by going to the "Premium Data" tab in the IEX Cloud Console and enabling "Stock Price Widgets by Giant Machines."
Go to Premium Data - Head to the "Widgets" tab to customize your widgetʼs design. Choose your widgetʼs theme, the stock symbol youʼd like to display, and the widget size.
Go to Widgets - Copy the code snippet from the Console into your website or application HTML source code.
- Your widget is ready to go!
