Review and Launch Your Rule#

Before launching your rule, name it and review it. The summary page articulates your rule’s conditions and alert details in a human-readable text format.

The rule above requires all five of its conditions be met. When triggered, the rule sends an email. The rule sends alerts once an hour at most.

Final Steps#

Here are the recommended final steps:

  1. Name your rule.

  2. Review your rule based on the summary. If you need to change parts of your rule, navigate back to the respective pages.

  3. When you’re satisfied with your rule, click Create Rule to launch it.

The dashboard shows your rule–it’s active and running!

Monitor Your Rule#

The dashboard displays all your rules. In it you can pause and un-pause rules, and click a rule’s edit button to view and edit the rule.

To see more details on your rule, including the state of last passed and failed failed events, click on the rule name. The rule’s details appear.

Note, Evaluated = Passed + Failed

Also note, Sent is limited by the the number Passed and the configured wait time between alerts.

As events match your rule’s conditions, the rule sends alerts to the configured destination. Here’s an alert email from the example stock screener shown above.

Congratulations on creating a rule!
